How to use the Words With Friends cheat
Type the letters on your rack into the box at the top of the page. The Words With Friends word finder unscrambles them instantly and lists every valid word you can play, grouped by length and ordered by Words With Friends points. There is no sign-up and no limit on searches.
Use a question mark for a blank tile. To play off a word already on the board, add its letters to your rack, or use the start and end filters so every result hooks onto that tile. Filtering by length helps when only a four- or five-letter gap is open.
Words With Friends unscrambler vs a Scrabble word finder
The letters are the same but the scoring is not. Words With Friends gives B and C four points each instead of three, makes H worth three instead of four, and doubles the value of L, N and U. A Scrabble word finder would rank your options with the wrong numbers, so this page scores every result with the real Words With Friends tile values shown below.
The board differs too. Words With Friends places its double and triple word squares in different positions from Scrabble, and the bonus for using all seven tiles is 35 points rather than 50. The highest face-value word is not always the best move; a shorter word landing on a triple word square often scores more.
Tips for higher Words With Friends scores
Hold your high-value tiles (J, Q, X and Z are worth 8 to 10 points) until you can place them on a double or triple letter square, ideally where the word scores in both directions. A Z on a triple letter square that forms two words can be worth more than a long word elsewhere.
Learn the short words. Two- and three-letter words let you play alongside an existing word and score every small word you form. They are also how you dump awkward tiles without opening a triple word square for your opponent.
Keep a balanced rack. Holding on to common letters like E, R, S, T and A while playing off duplicates and hard consonants gives you far better odds of a seven-tile play and its 35-point bonus on the next turn.

Frequently asked questions
How do I unscramble letters for Words With Friends?
Type the seven letters on your rack into the box above. The word unscrambler lists every word they spell, longest and highest-scoring first, using Words With Friends tile values. Enter a ? for each blank tile.
Are Words With Friends points the same as Scrabble points?
No. Twelve letters score differently in Words With Friends: B, C, G, H, J, L, M, N, P, U, V and Y are each worth more or less than in Scrabble. A word can rank higher in one game than the other, which is why this finder scores with the Words With Friends table.
What is the bonus for using all seven tiles in Words With Friends?
Playing all seven tiles from your rack in one turn earns a 35-point bonus in Words With Friends, compared with 50 points in Scrabble. Seven-letter words are still usually the best play when one fits.
Is using a Words With Friends word finder cheating?
Against another player, most people treat it as cheating unless you both agree to it. Many players use a word finder after a game to see the best move they missed, or in solo practice, which is a fair way to learn new words.
Does the word finder use the Words With Friends dictionary?
It uses a large open English word list that closely matches the words Words With Friends accepts, but the game keeps its own dictionary. Very new slang or rare words may occasionally be accepted by one and not the other.
Can I use blank tiles in the Words With Friends unscrambler?
Yes. Enter a question mark for each blank. The results show every word the blank makes possible. Blanks score zero points, so the finder scores the word without the blank letter.
