Daily Jumble Solver

Solve each jumbled clue word, then feed the circled letters into the final-answer solver to finish the puzzle.

Step 1

Solve every clue word

Only full-length anagrams are returned—shorter words cannot distract from the clue answer.

Step 2

Solve the circled-letter answer

Checks exact one-word answers and two-word phrases using every letter once.

Quick answer

How does the Jumble Solver work?

The newspaper Jumble gives you several scrambled clue words plus a final phrase built from specific circled letters in each. Solve each clue word in Step 1 below, note which letters were circled, then paste just those circled letters into Step 2 to unscramble the final answer.

Worked example

Input: LEPPA

Result: APPLE

After solving the clue words, enter only their circled letters in the final-answer box.

What this tool handles

This game tool focuses on Jumble puzzles, Anagrams, Circled letters.

  • Solve individual jumbled clue words
  • Collect circled-letter results
  • Solve the final answer letters
  • Handle multiple exact candidates

Solving a Jumble in two steps

Each of the four (or so) scrambled words in a Jumble is an independent anagram — enter one into Step 1 and it works exactly like the word unscrambler. Once you have all four solved, the puzzle marks certain letters in each with a circle.

Collect only those circled letters, in any order, and enter them into Step 2. That box unscrambles the smaller final set into the word or words that complete the puzzle's punchline.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there two solvers on this page?

A Jumble puzzle has two layers. Step 1 solves each individual scrambled clue word the same way the word unscrambler does. Step 2 takes only the circled letters from those solved words — usually four to eight letters — and unscrambles them into the final punchline answer.

I solved a clue word but do not know which letters are circled — what do I do?

The circled positions are printed under each scrambled clue in the puzzle itself, not something this tool can see. Solve the word first, then check the puzzle for which letter positions are marked, and collect just those letters into Step 2.

The final answer is more than one word — can this still help?

Step 2 returns every valid word the circled letters can spell. For a multi-word answer, try splitting the letters between two Step 2 searches, or scan the single-word results for a word that fits the cartoon clue and start from there.
